Is hair fall normal?

It is considered normal to lose 40-50 strands of hair everyday, especially if you wash it everyday.

But if the rate of hair fall is worrying, or your hair has started to come out in tufts, and you aren’t able to maintain the same volume of hair there could be cause for concern.

Causes of hair fall

Once you come to know the cause of the hair fall then treating it becomes easy
Reason for severe hair fall are trichotillamania (compulsive psychological urge to pull out one’s hair), genetics (a major factor in baldness), hair styling like perming, coloring, ironing, side effect to certain drugs like in chemotherapy, acne and diet pills, skin diseases on scalp and diabetes.

How to control hair fall

Avoid ironing, perming, rough toweling wet hair , blow-drying, and if you use hair gel make sure to wash it off the next day, do shampoo and condition with reliable products and keep your scalp and hair clean.

Massage your scalp with lukewarm oil, as it improves blood circulation, trim your hair if you have split ends.

Use tea leaves decoction and curd as natural conditioners. Shikakai powder is also healthy for hair. And you can even apply paste of fresh curry leaves.

If you see lot of baldness then rub your scalp with garlic juice, onion juice or ginger juice, can use one out of the three don’t mix two or three, apply it and leave it over night and wash it out in the morning.

Use vitamins for they are not only good for your body but also for your hair, vitamin A is an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in your scalp, vitamin E stimulates circulation, vitamin B contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation.
