The Massage Therapist

Acupressure is the ancient Chinese technique in which the massage therapist makes use of his fingers by pressing on key points on the skin and thus relieves the muscles of the enormous pressure they sustain and also promotes better blood circulation and relieves the tension built up in the body to let fresh energy course through the body once again. Though acupuncture and acupressure make use of the same key points on the skin, acupuncture involves the use of needles but acupressure uses fingers to restore the balance of the body and also relieves the mind from headaches, and relieves the receiver from menstrual cramps and constipation.

Another form of massage that a massage therapist is sure to be conversant with is the Deep Tissue Massage, which is a massage that is much more vigorous and has a number of different methods for relieving muscle tension. By breaking the pattern of tension, relieving chronic pains and aches that includes pain caused by inflammation such as tendonitis, Deep Tissue Massage helps to also improve the human body in moving better and more freely.

The Japanese use their own form of finger pressure which is called Shiatsu Massage and this is the technique that the massage therapist uses to relieve tension, pressure, improve circulation and is very similar to acupressure where the massage therapist uses his fingers, palms, elbows, thumb, knees, and may even sometime walk on the receiver’s body in order to pressurize the acupuncture healing points. Not only does the flow of energy increase but the blood flow improve as do the lymphatic flow. In addition, it fights off ill health, restores the balance in the body and makes the receiver feel more relaxed and stronger.
