Anti-Aging Diet Care

By: Marianna Pells

There are now countless products available that promise long-lasting youth, but scientists agree that entering an anti aging diet care plan can do so much more. Different anti aging diet care methods have been formulated to combat aging, and the common ones include calorie restriction, eating certain foods, drinking lots of water and fasting.

Reducing calorie intake is one of the best way to start looking young and feeling young. Lowering your intake of calories can help reduce health risks and extend life expectancy. Studies show that limiting calorie intake can prevent certain ailments and diseases which are mostly associated with physical maturity.

Statistics have shown that individuals in their 50's who practiced lesser calorie intake had blood pressures of a 10-year-old. Other studies show that in rodents and primates, those that were on restrictive diets lived longer than their maximum life spans.

This is because, as according to Hormesis Hypothesis of calorie restriction, minimal calorie in our body lowers biochemicals in our body that produce stress and aging. The more calorie we take and the more stressed-out our body is, the more chance there is of our body aging faster than its normal pace.

While controlled calorie intake has been proven to improve overall health, simply eating healthier foods as part of your anti aging diet care plan could already make a big difference. Fruits and vegetables are well-known for their anti aging qualities because of the antioxidants they contain. Other foods also contain age-fighting qualities. Here are more specific foods that may help in improving overall health:

Berries - berries are good sources of flavanoids and antioxidants. These two anti-aging properties help prevent free radicals from attacking and damaging your cells, thus, delaying aging.

Avocados - Avocados are excellent fruits to help delay aging since it contains potassium which lowers blood pressure, monounsaturated fat which reduces bad cholesterol, as well as Vitamin E which helps maintain healthy and glowing skin.

Nuts - Nuts are good sources of minerals and protein which help build up or repair body cells and help strengthen the digestive and immune system.

Garlic - Garlic are excellent remedies for decreasing high blood pressure.

Cruciferous vegetables - Broccoli, radish and cauliflower are just some examples of these cruciferous vegetables which help prevent cancer diseases.

One of the more common health practice that help delay aging and strengthens one's immune system is the hydrotherapy or drinking lots of fluids, especially water. Since dehydration causes stress-induced damages on our body's cells, replenishing our body adequately with the water it needs can effectively help flush out wastes and toxins and rejuvenates dehydrated tissues.

Fasting, or the deliberate avoidance of any kind of food and drinking only water for a considerable amount of time, is also an excellent way to help you in your anti-aging diet care plan. Keeping the body hydrated but free from any solid food once in a while can help detoxify the body, thus, ridding it of toxins that hastens aging.
